Riccardo Turini (Ioris)

“Being happy doesn’t mean everything’s perfect, it means you’ve decided to look beyond imperfections” Aristotele

I was born in a plain territory in a village called Montanaro (Mountain person in Italian) and perhaps is because of that etymology in my origin that my life is linked to mountains.
I am a Monterosa guide and I’m currently the director Gressoney’s guides.

Living in Gressoney I breathed the air of Monte Rosa which I feel like a company and a friend. I am fascinated by the art of kintsugi that invites us to let go, to accept the impermanence of things and gives life the possibility of transformation. Mountaineering finds his roots on the same principle and sharing this certainty with those I accompany is an experience that I pursue. I deal with a colony of bees and one of trout as well as an intense activity related to the work in exposed environments.

Overall I like the challenge with myself: getting on and off peaks it's a pleasure that defines me in a harmonious mix of solitude and adventure, preparation and intuition. In my free time I climb, walk and trail run; I agree with what Sparaco says in Equation of a Love "if two particles interact with each other for a certain period of time and then are separated, they can no longer be described as two distinct entities", and I recognize in going to the mountains the part now indistinguishable from me.
