Breithorn is the westernmost peak above 4,000m in the Monte Rosa chain seen from Italy and is undoubtedly one of the most suitable peaks for those who are starting out with mountaineering. Thanks to the Cervinia ski lifts, the height difference to reach the summit is limited and the ascent can easily be done in a day making your ascent a total immersion in the Matterhorn environment giving you an absolute first-class view.
