Cross Country ski track La Marmotta Rosa

The cross country center La Marmotta Rosa lying under the watchful eye of the spectacular south face of Monte Rosa, has 15 km of slopes ranging from easy to difficult. These beautiful pistes wind through larch and birch tree forests and over open stretches alongside the river.

The heart of the resort and the starting point of the ski pistes is the Gianni Severina Sports center. It is equipped with a bar, restaurant, rental shops, showers, toilets, and changing rooms. On some sections the track runs alongside a path for pedestrians and snowshoe enthusiasts.

Panoramic views

• The hamlet Balma: the best view of the Rosa and the Vogna valley,
• Alzarella: the ideal place  to observe the frosty surfaces and ice crystals that can reach a length of up to 6 cm.
• Caseruolo: an ideal observation point in the early hours of the morning to see deer and roe deer foraging near the pistes.
