At the Former Town Hall of Riva Valdobbia, Piazza IV Novembre
The project is the brainchild of photographer Luisa Morniroli who, together with her friend and writer Cristina Barberis Negra, wanted to find a creative and positive way to tackle the theme of prevention, illness and the return to life.
Luisa and Cristina are two women who met because fate put them through a very demanding test. Without this adventure, they would never have met and would not have put the two complementary sides of their creativity to good use. One a photographer, the other a writer and communicator, they found in their sisterhood a way to create something good together and give hope to many other women. Because every day is beauty and should be celebrated. And every woman is a wonderful being and should be honoured.
The Sorrisi in Rosa (Smiles in Pink) project aims to raise awareness on the topic of prevention, starting from the experience of women who are protagonists of stories of illness and rebirth. The soul of the project is the photographic exhibition that dresses all Humanitas hospitals and medical centres, and which you can also admire on this portal, to tell the story of 12 women. 12 smiles that testify how the disease was an opportunity to start a new life.
