Details of the Climb:

Suspended between two dizzying walls, aerial and elegant, the Lyskamm traverse is one of the great classics mountaineering experience on Monte Rosa. A piece of history on your bucket list.

Known for being one of the most technical traverses in the Alps, it connects the two main peaks of Lyskamm: the east summit (4,533 meters) and the west summit (4,479 meters). Advanced skills in ice and rock climbing are required, along with good physical endurance.

An intense four-day program, designed to explore the Monte Rosa massif by climbing 5 of its 4000m peaks to learn the “cramponnage” technique, self-rescue maneuvers and how to safely walk in a roped party on a glacier without losing sight of important objectives.

Lunch at the refuge? A thrill of adventure! Do you want to enjoy an unforgettable starry sky surrounded by snow and ice?

Every Saturday we organize a night out on snowshoes to reach one of the refuges in our area to savor typical dishes in a magical setting.

Put on your snowshoes and let’s go to admire the dark crystalline sky, breathe the icy mountain air, entering the romantic snowy woods. A snowshoe hike is a naturalistic experience in its purest form. We will walk in the woods letting ourselves to be carried away by the magic and silence that the snow offers.

Each of the huts, destination of our snowshoe hike, is located on the edge of some of the most famous off-piste descents in the area and we will reach them with snowshoes on our feet.

The Polluce, located between the Black Rock and the Castore, stands alone on the Verra glacier. It appears from every side like an ice cone crossed by some rocky ridge. The ascent by the normal route is very complete: it requires knowledge of the techniques on the glacier with ice axe and crampons and of the basic techniques of rock climbing. The rocky terminal spire is equipped with fixed ropes, which facilitate the ascent. The snow-capped peak is a perfect panoramic balcony on the Matterhorn and on the entire Monte Rosa chain.

The best of freeride thank to helsiki

The valleys you’ll fly above are not simple ones, but the natural park “Alta Valsesia” so not only our home, but expecialy the home of eagles, steinbocks, martens (wolves as new entry!!)… . That’s why our flight are strictly ruled in respect of wheater, snow and safety condition and , obviusly, mountains. Are only allowed 8 flights per day per 8 days per month on 4 landing places to guarantee to everybody a peacefull realtionship with he enviroment arround us.

Especially because we speak about an experience we suggest you to book a guide for more days and then, when you are here, choose the best one to upgrade the guiding day to heliski! Our helicopters have 5 places 4 for the guest and one for the guide, so if you are more then 4 you will have to book two flight and two guides, if you are less you could try to join a group to share your high altitude day.
